IC
Name: Alucard
Canon: Castlevania (Netflix), canon version
Canon Point: Post-season 3.
Age: Unspecified, ~19-20 from context clues/timeline.
Appearance: Too tall (6'3"), slimly muscled, stuffy regal clothing that was probably really fashionable...in the late 1400s. He looks largely human aside from, you know, the fangs. And the golden eyes are a bit weird (Twilight anyone?).
Abilities: Alucard is a half-vampire, half-human; the product of a loving relationship between one of each. As a result, he's got a lot of a vampire's powers...and almost none of the drawbacks. It's like what everyone playing D&D wishes the half-elves were like. These can be best and quickly summarized as:
→ increased speed & strength
→ he can, uh, float around, for some reason, though he's never shown turning to mist a la book-Dracula
→ an ambiguous amount of combat magic; his ability to move more quickly than he can be easily seen appears to be magical and not a species-specific ability; he also has a sword that he can control, although it seems pretty clearly implied that the sword is what's magically listening to him, not that Alucard has telekinesis
→ he can heal non-fatal wounds instantly if he concentrates, although serious wounds will still leave scars
→ immune to several of the obvious hindrances to vampires (sunlight, garlic) although he seems to be ambiguously harmed by some charmed or consecrated materials (some consecrated weapons don't seem to do extra damage, but other non-specified weapons burn his skin; this writer interprets it as "halfway bad, I guess?" to avoid giving him too many pros and not enough cons)
→ he's a pretty good cook
(Optional) Personality: Alucard can seem overly serious, pragmatic, depressed, and like he leans on defensive humor too much...but that's just because that's all probably true. He's a well-meaning person who's just been handed a shit sandwich by life and is caught between "I want everyone to know just how much eating this sandwich has ruined my existence" and "I wish everyone would leave me alone so I could cry about how much I hate this sandwich in peace". Which is fitting, given that he's been caught between two worlds his entire life: that of his human mother, and his (temporarily reformed) vampire father.
Alucard is strongly moral and driven to do the right thing, but as soon as he's finished doing the right thing, he's generally not sure what to do next. He appears to be crumbling under the weight of familial expectations, even - maybe especially - [spoilers] after both of his parents are dead. He's a deadpan snarker and can be downright unkind in the way he'll dig at even allies he isn't getting along with, but he's equally capable of compassion and patience when he thinks it's safe to reach for those traits. He's basically duty and drive wrapped tightly around a core of loneliness and depression. You know. Like most teenagers under pressure.
History: Spoilers for all seasons of Netflix's Castlevania ahead! Background as provided here is accurate. CWs for violence, inter-family violence, and violence during sex/sex used as deception.
